Event: Diwali Meet

🪔✨ "Dashain ko hardik Shubhkamna!" 🙏🙏

Ruchika Club's C Wing transported us to the enchanting world of Nepal at our Diwali meet on October 25, 2023, with a Bollywood twist. Held at the Great Eastern Hall in Byculla, under the inspiring leadership of Ms. Sarika Vaid, the event was a grand celebration of Dashain, a vibrant Nepalese festival.

The day began with registrations at 11:30 am, and the official festivities kicked off at 12:15 pm with appetizers and drinks to whet our appetites.

As we entered, we were welcomed with a traditional tikka ceremony at the gate, accompanied by the mesmerizing sound of the Madal, a traditional Nepali drum. The venue was adorned with Nepali prayer flags, drums, a selfie corner, and an amphitheater featuring Buddha statues and prayer wheels.

But what stole the show was a picturesque natural pond teeming with life - a scene that added an extra touch of magic to the event.

Our A, B, and C wing presidents marked the start of the event with a special tikka exchange, setting the tone for a day filled with cultural richness and entertainment.

The event featured captivating performances that left us all in awe. The song "Maiti Ghar" was beautifully performed by advisors Puja Bajla and Minaxi, alongside president Sarika Vaid, reminding us of the serene beauty of the Nepalese hills.

Arpita Bajla and Shweta Kedia's performance of "Kanchi Re" took us on a nostalgic journey to the era of legendary actors Dev Anand and Mumtaz.

Supriya Agarwal and Shraddha Patel's sizzling performance on "Chiso Chiso" set the stage on fire.

The iconic Bollywood hit "Dum Maro Dum" was brought to life by Deepa Jain, Anju Agarwal, Ritu Harlalka, and Neetu Daga.

And who can forget the soulful rendition of "Pyaar Main Dil Pe Mar De Goli" from the 80s, beautifully recreated by Suhani Parekh and Seema Sharma.

The event concluded with a lively performance of "Keti Ko" by A Wing members Anupama Jalan, Sadhna Kejriwal, Archana Bajaj, and Jyoti Chokhani, all dressed in traditional Nepali kancha attire.

Members also took to the stage for a spirited dance, anchored by Khushboo Agarwal, choreography by Neha Jain, and screen video making and editing by Supriya Agarwal.

Our taste buds were treated to mouthwatering Nepali cuisine, bringing the flavors of Nepal to Mumbai.

This event was a fantastic blend of Nepali culture, decor, and members dressed in traditional attire. The Pond Room's natural beauty and decor added to the overall amazing experience. We can't wait for more such cultural celebrations!
