OUR VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE
(A project of Ruchika Club)
“We cannot help everyone, but everyone can help someone”
Our dream to empower underprivileged women with self-worth and earning
skills was materialized with our vocational training center at
Shah & Nahar Estate started on 9th June 2015.
‘NAYEE DISHA’ – gave women a new direction by teaching them to use their
spare time gainfully. “Earn as you learn” gave the women financial stability.
Several courses were on offer – Spoken English, Beautician’s course, Mehndi
application and Foot Spa – all taught professionally. The Tailoring class was
also popular. Ladies made festive and gifting items under supervision.
Beautifully coordinated necklaces were designed.
The pandemic created a need for trendy mask and spectacle chains. Orders
started coming in and the club hired a professional ‘ponigar’ on a full-time
basis.
Besides our own exhibition Ruchika Fest, Nayee Disha participates in other
shows. The products on display are appreciated. Manning the stall gives a
boost to the confidence of the students. Foot spa and shoulder and neck
massages are offered for public events.
A dedicated team oversees the various activities in Nayee Disha including
teaching, designing, and marketing the products.

All the proceeds of the sale are used for charity.

After the grand success at the Festive Edit, NAYEE DISHA, a project of
Ruchika Club, participated in IKIGAI,
featuring various hand made products like Rakhis, malas, bracelets and many more little wonders just perfect for gifting and giveaways at wedding functions.
We displayed artistic skills and craftsmanship of our passionate artisans also
bringing to all a flavour of the festive season.
All the proceeds of the sale were used for charity.
