“Konkan Relief Project’’
Though the Konkan regions of Raigad, Ratnagiri and Chiplun experience heavy
rains every year, the deluge this year on 22nd July 2021 caused extreme
devastation.
There was a red alert warning since the discharge of waters from the Koyna and
Kolkewadi dams, made the situation worse. Some of the locals were even shifted
to temporary shelters.
Ruchika Club sent their representatives to donate 250 thali sets and other items
which would come in handy, in their time of need. People lined up patiently,
waiting their turn to receive the donation.
