The Ruchika Club celebrated Diwali with a grand Diwali Sneh Sammelan, bringing together members from all three wings—A, B, and C—for the first time in the club’s 52-year history. Hosted by the A Wing, this unique and memorable event was held at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel, adorned with festive floral decor, traditional lamps, and a beautifully arranged backdrop featuring idols of Laxmiji and Ganeshji. Committee members from all three wings dressed in traditional Indian saris, adding to the festive spirit.
Members arrived dressed in their finest festive attire, enjoying the opportunity to reconnect with friends and fellow members. The afternoon began with a warm welcome, mocktails, and savory starters, setting a lively tone for the celebration.
The program officially began with the A Wing President extending Diwali greetings to all members. Following this, a thoughtful skit was presented by A Wing’s Saroj Harlalka and Neeta Goyal, along with B Wing President Rashmi and C Wing President Neha Jain. Through the skit, they shared the significance of Laxmi Poojan, a message that was well received and appreciated by all in attendance.
This was followed by a soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana and Mahalaxmi Stotram by Saroj Kariwala and Shilpa, filling the room with a sense of reverence. The Presidents of each wing then joined together to perform the Aarti, accompanied by live singing from Saroj and Shilpa. Each member was provided a Diya, allowing everyone to participate in the Aarti from their seats. A highlight of the ceremony was the Shankhnaad by our esteemed founder, Ashaji Jhunjhunwalla, marking the beginning of the Aarti.
The festivities continued with a sumptuous buffet of exquisite dishes and decadent desserts, providing members with a delightful culinary experience.
Special recognition goes to the A Wing Committee, led by President Anita Mahansaria and supported by advisors Asha Patodia and Shashi Agarwal, for their tireless efforts in organizing and executing this event. Their hard work ensured that this Diwali Sneh Sammelan was a resounding success, and the Laxmi Poojan and Sneh Sammelan were deeply appreciated by all Ruchika members. It was truly an unforgettable afternoon of joy, tradition, and camaraderie.
